Rough cost for a family of four: about $140.00 at the posted starting rate, before rentals, food, or parking. Many parks sell tubing by the hour or by a fixed session rather than a full-day pass — check the note above for exactly what that price buys.
Massanutten has more lanes than the nearby Virginia parks: 16 lanes, roughly 900 feet long, served by two conveyor belt lifts, with snowmaking behind it. The official page says the price includes the tube, the lanes and the lift.
Tickets are the thing to plan around. Sessions are 90 minutes only, tickets must be bought online in advance, and the resort states that snow tubing regularly sells out with limited tickets per session. The page currently lists tubing from $35 Monday through Thursday and from $49 Friday through Sunday. Our older record shows lower rates ($30 and $40, plus a $25 Monday-Thursday 9 to 10 PM special), so treat the resort page as current and confirm at checkout. Snow sports here are weather-dependent and do not follow an exact schedule each year.
Night tubing is offered. The resort’s late-season schedule shows Friday and Saturday evenings from 4 to 10 PM, while our record described a nightly session, so verify the night you want.
For a smaller, quieter hill, Bryce Resort is about 29 miles straight-line away with three lanes. Wintergreen Resort - The Plunge is about 35 miles away with 10 lanes and a 42-inch height minimum.
Late-season weekends use evening slots (Friday and Saturday 4 to 10 PM); weekday rates are listed lower than Friday to Sunday.
One 90-minute session; tickets are online only and cannot be bought by phone.
You plan to buy at the door, since tickets are sold online only and sessions regularly sell out; check rates too, as the resort page lists higher prices than our older record.

Yes — this park requires reservations rather than walk-up tickets. Book ahead, especially for a weekend or holiday slot.
We track 3 tubing hills in Virginia. At $35 a head this one sits right on the state median of $35, undercutting 1 of the 3 paid parks we track here.
It runs 16 lanes against a state average of about 10, so it is a notably bigger operation than most of its neighbours — expect shorter waits on a busy day.
One caveat worth repeating: this park had not published its current-season dates when we last checked, while 1 of the 3 parks we track in Virginia had. Treat any date you see elsewhere as a prior season's until the park confirms it.
