Online reservations required; sessions tend to sell out quickly
Silver Mountain Resort’s tubing hill in Kellogg has four lanes, each 640 feet long, with a magic carpet lift bringing riders back to the top. What sets it apart from most hills in the region is the ride to get there: your ticket includes a gondola ride and tube rental, so the trip up the mountain is part of the outing.
Sessions run two hours and start on the hour. Monday through Thursday the starts are 10 AM, 11 AM, 12 PM and 1 PM. Fridays and Sundays add a 2 PM start, and Saturdays and holidays add both 2 PM and 3 PM. Prices on the official page are listed at $30.95 for adults on regular days and $27.95 for ages 4 to 17, with age 2 to 3 tickets at $15.95, and holidays cost about $4 more. Check current rates.
Booking is not optional. Reservations are required, made online, and the resort warns that sessions tend to sell out. Riders must be at least 36 inches and age 2, and younger riders can ride tethered to an adult in a child-sized tube, which makes this one of the friendlier hills for very small kids. Read how sessions work if the format is new.
