Cheapest snow tubing: parks from $20 or less
45 of the 229 parks we track publish a starting price of $20 or less, including one free park, so a family day doesn't have to run past $100 before lunch.
What qualifies: Parks with a published starting price of $20 or less per session (or free admission), cheapest first. Prices are the lowest published rate and change by date, time and age.
Snow tubing can run $40-$80 a person at the bigger resorts once you add parking and rentals, so the budget end of the market matters for a family of four. Of the 229 parks we track, 45 publish a starting price of $20 or less, and one publishes free admission.
How to use this list
A published “starting price” is usually the lowest rate available, often a shorter session, an off-peak weekday, or a specific age bracket, and it changes by date and time of year. Before you commit to a park based on price alone, check the park’s own site for the current rate on the day and time you actually plan to go, and note whether the price includes a set number of runs or unlimited tubing for the session length.
Budget parks tend to be smaller, community or county-run hills rather than full ski resorts, so also weigh lane count and lift type against price: a $10 park with a single walk-up lane is a very different day than a $20 park with a magic carpet and several lanes. See save money on snow tubing and snow tubing cost for more on what drives the price.

Frequently asked questions
What's the cheapest snow tubing park you track?
Hard'Ack Recreation Area in Saint Albans, VT publishes free admission. The next cheapest paid options are Trapp Farm Park Tubing Hill in Eagan, MN at $5 and Calumet County Park Snow Tubing Hill in Stockbridge, WI at $6.
Are cheaper parks lower quality?
Not based on the data. Many budget parks are municipal or county-run hills like Trapp Farm Park and Calumet County Park, which skip the resort overhead of a ski area but still run tow ropes and set lanes. A lower price often just means a smaller, community-run operation rather than fewer safety standards.
Do the cheapest parks still require reservations?
It's mixed. Calumet County Park Snow Tubing Hill and Hard'Ack Recreation Area don't require reservations, while Trapp Farm Park Tubing Hill does. Always confirm on the park's own site since this changes by season.
